Ram 2 slots or 4 slots

Yea, I'm running 4gigs with 4 slots filled on one computer and 2 slots filled on another, and I don't really see any difference at all. So I'm going to have to say it doesn't matter too much in the way of speed, so it is probably better to get 2 sticks so you can upgrade later if you need to.
